Mar 21, 2009 In the bottle at the 2009 Crescent Moon Extreme Beerfest. Pours a very cloudy dark gold with a thick white head. The dominant flavor that I get from this is yeast...it’s just a yeast bomb. I sort of don’t get the point of this at an extreme beer festival. It gets lost. I’ll have to revisit it.

Mar 16, 2009 Bottle. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is malt, yeast, light fruits, and some floral hops. Flavor is enjoyable with pale malts, yeast, honey, light fruits, spice, and some hop bitterness on the finish. Drinkable.

Mar 14, 2009 Pours gold wit a white head. Smells of light spice, fruity, floral. Tastes sweet and dry with some enjoyable floral and hay notes on the finish. Very saison like.

Mar 3, 2009 From 750mL bottle. Pours to a straw amber color with full sized head. Nothing too out of the ordinary.
Lots of yeast on the nose. Very grassy with some undetones of citrus. A bit of honey’s up in there also.
It’s a bit thin and grassy on the the palate. Some tropical flavors and banana present as well,but not with the texture that’d I’d originally suspected, which is where this beer really loses out.
I like this beer but I can’t love it. Certainly a solid Belgian strong ale, but not a stand-out.

Feb 19, 2009 On tap. Pours a hazy golden color with a nice white head. Light grassy aroma, a hint of yeast. Light bitterness, a hint of cloves, a fruity sweetness. Bitter finish; easy drinking Belgian ale.
