Commercial Description:
We made gold-fair, clear degustatiebier of 7,7°. it is of barley malt, leaven, water and of course Poperingse hops composed. What concerns the taste, is the first what the presence of a large hop bitterness is notable.

On tap at the Palace Hotel, Poperinge, West Flanders, Belgium, 26-06-07 Large white cushion of a head on this golden beer. Good hop and malts, quite tasty. Started as a bit of a joke apparently that got a bit out of hand which then forced them into producing a beer.

Tap at ’t Brugs Beertje. Nice hoppy aroma. Golden color with a creamy white head, lacing head. Creamy lightly sweet pale malt with a trace of kandi and persistent mild hop flowing through it. Flowery hop. Finishes balanced. Rather refined.

Bottled at the hop museum in Poperinge. Clear golden, creamy head. Sweaty orange aroma. Dryish with clean mouthfeel, some orange jam and bitter almond. Freshly hoppy with long bitter finish. Pleasant, but with less character than the Hommelbier.

Clear golden colored pour, big white head. High hoppiness. Aroma of sweet hops and malts. Taste is a bit too spicy, nice bitterness, hops and an alcohol sense in the end. Medium bodied.

Bottle 33cl @ home.
Clear medium to dark yellow color with a large, frothy, good lancing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate hoppy, perfume, moderate yeasty, soap. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, and some "vanila pouder" notes in the finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (020608)

Bottle at the Old Fiddle in Poperinge. Blond in color with a white head. Aroma of yeast, pale malt, and fresh hops. Flavor is more of the same, with a nice citrusy hop finish. Palate standard for the style. Not super exciting, but still good, especially in the town where it was brewed.
