Commercial Description:

Formerly known as Poretti Bock 1877 Chiara.
http://www.birrificioporetti.it

Dark honey color, small off-white head. Aroma is faintly fruity with weak alcohol, some rubber and sugar. Light, even watery for a bock. In the beginning not much alcohol found. Some grapefruit kind of bitterness in the finish. Aftertaste is grassy hoppy. Quite strange for a bock, but drinkable brew. Coud be a bit maltier.

Bottled. Golden in colour, white heda, lacings. The aroma is fruity and a scent of alcohol i present as well. It has a malty taste with fruits. It has a dry after taste. Thanks to Dorqui for this beer!

Orange brown with firm white head. Big aroma thats comes to you already 0,5 m from the glass. Fruity with notes of apples, malt, hops, grass and wet rags. A bit acidic, fresh. Malty flavor with notes of almonds, bread, chemicals, and alcohol. Decent loooooong bitterness. A bit thin.

White weak head. Deep golden color. Aroma is malty with alcohol and light herbal notes. Flavor is moderately malty with accented alcohol and light nutty tones, ending in a balanced slightly hoppy dry finish. Medium bodied.

Bottle@Home, Aug 08, 2.8: Sweet, malty, hint of apple. Dark yellow, beige head, good lace. Sweet, bitter, herbal, apples, rhubarbe. Thinnish. Drinkable, nothing special. Bottle@Home, Jul 04, 2.8: Strong sweet malty aroma. Golden color, white head, fair lace. Sweet, bitter, fruity, grapes, bit metallic. Quite full and a little sticky. Is this a bock or a european strong lager?

Bottle@Spiesys. Nasty piece of work, flat, grainy, corny sweet flavour, very thin, some nasty chemicals.

Beer #1 at Spiesy’s gathering. Curious stuff this. The extra alcohol is apparent in a Tennents Extra sort of way, but brings nothing else to the party. Dull, malty aroma. After that the bitter, citric palate comes as something of a surprise, but it’s still dull. If you want to drink a standard overseas pale lager, but get pissed quicker, this is the beer for you. Otherwise, quite pointless. Sure this is a bock? Drinkable. Bottled.
