Commercial Description:

Formerly known as Poretti Bock 1877 Chiara.
http://www.birrificioporetti.it

Orange brown with firm white head. Big aroma thats comes to you already 0,5 m from the glass. Fruity with notes of apples, malt, hops, grass and wet rags. A bit acidic, fresh. Malty flavor with notes of almonds, bread, chemicals, and alcohol. Decent loooooong bitterness. A bit thin.

Amber colour; thick malty palate and a dryish finish. Surprisingly big-bodied for a large brewery bock.

33cL bottle. Rich malt aroma; bit of vanilla, golden syrup, subtle dried fruit. Smooth almost oily body, low-moderate carbonation, thickish texture. More vanilla and golden syrup on the body, bit of sultana and clove spice. Slightly bitter finish. Nice strong beer overall, very unexpectidly so!

I had this beer when I was in Italy and was not impressed. It had a mild aroma and was golden in color. It drank easily with a nice mild hop flavor but was not memorable.
