I was expecting this to poor a nice red but instead it was more like an amber. It was sweet with a mild bitter aftertaste. The aroma was pleasant but malty not hoped. I was drink this beer again! cgarvieuk (4198), Edinburgh, Scotland

Clear amber body, with a small, fizzy, off-white head; fully diminishing with virtually no lacing.
Moderate-to-heavy malty aroma (toasted, caramel) with light yeasty notes (dough); notes of raisin and alcohol.
Flavour starts moderately sweet and lightly bitter and evolves towards a bit stronger bitter note.
Light-to-medium body with a watery texture; flat carbonation; light alcoholic note in the finish.
Not as satisfactory as many other bocks; something like a watery bock or a "bit stronger" standard lager. Spiesy (2333), Global Citizen, Greater London, England

Deep amber colour, loaded with malts, this particular bottle was a little old and tired, tasted like rusty hub caps. Came out like dirty bog water. Undrinkable but suspect it was faulty and deserves to be re-tried.
