of lace on the glass. Body is clear brown with a red tinge. Sweet
aroma of caramel with fruity and faintly roasty notes. Taste is very
sweet and malty, again caramel with some roastiness. The fruity,
apple-like, taste is still there, but doesn’t fit in too well. Faintly
bitter aftertaste, which goes slightly dry and metallic, with the
dryness lingering. Had this at cellar temperature, but it’s probably
more harmonic at room temperature. The metallic bitterness bothers me, but otherwise it’s not bad. KnutAlbert (3217), Oslo, Norway

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 23, 2005 Bottled. Dense and enough persistent foam. Beautiful red shining color, lightly dark and discreetly bubbly. Fresh and pleasant taste, notes of red fruit and alcohol. Flowery and much persistent finish. Not particularly heavy and drinkable. Indeed good. IslandHaole (1035), Onna-Son, Okinawa-Ken, Japan
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 16, 2004 A clear amber brew with reddish tints, medium beige head. Malt, caramel and fruit in the nose. A dusty sweetness of fruit and malt with an earthy quality to it.
A bit thin feeling. Ungstrup (15460), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 10, 2004 A red beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of alcohol, oranges, and peaches. The flavor is malty with notes of caramel and berries - especially cowberries. It has quite a thin mouthfeel - especially considering the 6.5% ABV, but all in all an OK beer. Thanks to Alex (fiulijn) for trading me this. spkldhenlvr24 (467), Newburgh/Buffalo, New York, USA
