Rune (2744), Tromsø, Norway Nov 3, 2009 330ml bottle shared with Finn at Bistro Trägårn in Kiruna. Clear golden body with a patchy surface. Pale malty aroma with hints of dried fruits. Lighter, balanced flavour of malts and fruits. A dry, grassy bitterness to the finish. Clean tasting and quite refreshing (far beyond the Arctic circle in Sweden 29.10.2009). Ungstrup (14754), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 17, 2009 Bottled. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma has light notes of malt. The flavor is sweet with light notes of malt and straw, leading to a lightly bitter finish. Slayer85 (582), Firenze, Italy Sep 4, 2009 Bottle. A clear pale golden beer with a large, fizzy, mostly diminishing white head. The aroma is sweet, lightly malty, grainy. Almost no hops. A paper note too. The flavour is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acididc, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly unclean, short finish with light to medium bitterness. Absolutely useless. hirigalzkar (550), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 30, 2009 Bottle. A bad attempt to brew a clean malty lager. Strange and thin. Still not the worst pale lager though, just a bit odd. finol (475), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden Aug 30, 2009 Bottle at The Liffey, Stockholm.
Pours amber with a big light head.
Sweet malty aroma. Thin odd taste. shrubber85 (2833), Wallhalben, Germany Jul 21, 2009 Bottle (labelled Angelo Poretti). Sour barley malt and light hops aroma. Golden color with small head. Sour malt flavor with moderate grassy hops finish. Decent but average pale lager. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 18, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Clear golden with a white head. Sweetish malty nose. Thin-bodied with light, malty accents and basically no hops. Completely bland and indifferent. 011108
tupalev (2605), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 26, 2008 My bottle, courtesy of Big Red and K, shared with Mabel and Jerc. Light yellow, small white head. Light malt and some grassy hops in aroma. Standard light lager taste - watery, maybe a tad more light malt flavour than most. Ok at best for the style, but no need to ever have it again.
