Commercial Description:
Definitely not your Dad's Wimpy 30 weight. An enormous & luscious dark ale that's as opaque and dark as the most well used motor oils.

bottle shared thanks to TexasJeep. Pours dark and thick with no head. Nose is roasty, burnt coffee and molasses. Taste was roasty with coffee and molasses like the aroma. Mouthfeel was medium-to-thick with dry finish. This was very much like a stout. Liked this a lot.

black as sin, smallish roasted tan head... gorgeous, deep, dark nose, rich and resplendent, redolent of molasses, anise, whiskey, a twisted stygian blend...classic! taste: profound impact on the palate, heavy, full, and packed with prodigious flavors. All that in the nose and a little more, hangs long on the tongue. some plum, dark cherries, cocoa,...but well-blended, no particular one flavor rides over any other. Is this a stout, a porter, an old ale...? The whiskey is king in it, and anything else fades away...very mellow, relaxing, satisfying... 10%? It’s there, but it’s not intrusive, it’s ...mmm, motor oil! Very solid...so rubust, and so delicate...well put-together... oh, man!

Pours a pitch black with a light foam ring. Aroma of alcohol and molasses. Tastes very strong! Astringent & dry, vinous, concord grapes. Body is thick and chewy with a nice creaminess and ok carbonation. Not bad, a bit monochromatic, though, for a barrel-aged beer.

Pours deep black forming off brown in color foamy head. Aroma of smokey chocolates, malts, hops, coffee. Flavour is of hopped coffee bitters with chocolate essence. Smoothness comes across with an overall drinakabilty, this beer begs to be cherished. Both porter and strong ale, hard to beat. Kinda like spankin a nice peace of ass before throwin a thick slinger. Make it worth while.

Poured a black color with no head. aroma and flavor were of smoke, hops, chocolate, and ALCOHOL. this tasted way too boozy for 10% and made me not enjoy the beer much at all.

Big. Dark. Thick and tasty. Pours deep cola brown - almost black - with a tiny tan head. Chocolate, smoked meats and molasses on the nose. Dark, roasty, smoky malts are huge in the flavor, but it maintains a detectable hop presence and a good balance between sweet and bitter. Also strong notes of coffee, brown sugar and cacao. Surprisingly drinkable for this thick of a brew.

Pretty black pour with a tan head and lightly spotted lacing. Smell is roasted dark sugary malt and toffee. Flavor is nice and roasted and coffee filled. Bitter coffee hop finish. Not too heavy, a hint thinner than I expected but still nice. Very drinkable and enjoyable.
