This is no doubt ports best year round, accessible bottled beer. Its an imperial stout no matter what anyone says, even the brewer. If you can make egg salad out of tofu and call it egg salad, you can make an imperial stout out of whatever the hell this shit is made out of. Fuck, we have better palates than most brewers so their style designation should be taken as a grain of salt. A fine ass imperial stout, better than all the other imperial stouts port puts out combined. At less than $6 for a 22oz, it makes you question reality.

22 oz. bottle - Pours a dark brown color with a faint, but big bubble light tan head. No lacing. Has a roasted malt and light licorice aroma. Flavor is much of the same but a tad bit more intense. Beer coats the tongue. Medium to full body. Alcohol is slightly noticeable. Not a lot of hop aroma but the just the right amount of bitterness. A very good beer.

Bottle shared by bgburdman9: Dark brown with a very small tan head. Aroma, coffee, roasted malts, some bitterness. Flavor, roast coffee, some chocolate, alcohol, and a roasty bitterness to it. Medium bodied, some warming. Another good one.

Big thanks to MiguelMandingo for sharing this bottle.
Pours black with a medium lived tan head that leaves some spotty lacing. Smell is amazing. Mollasses, brown sugar, graham cracker, cookie sweetenss held in check with some rich roastiness. Smells like The Abyss.
Taste is dark dry roast, dark chocolate and a hoppy finish hiding behind all the flavorful roast. Perhaps the mildest twinge of bourbony flavor, but it melds so well with the other flavors that I wouldn’t even know its a bourbon beer. A nice light dry oak characteristic in the end as well. Looks and smells like an imperial stout, and is rich and flavorful like one, except its body is not quite as thick, perhaps, and the hops shine, yet complement the beer more than in any Imperial Stout I’ve had. Easily one of my new favorites. Thanks again Mike!

Thanks to illinismitty for sharing this bottle. A dark brown pour with no head or lace. An aroma of chocolate coffee and yeast. A flavor of raisins or some dried fruit. The abv sneaks in a tad as well. A very bitter finish. Excellent carbonation but a tad thin. Nice all round. thanks sean.

Fresh 22oz bottle pours pitch black with a big frothy tan head. Has a WTF smell of grassy, buttery hop pellets and some blackened malts. Full bodied and smooth. Decent taste is blackened malt with a black licorice sweetness. Has a strong alcohol bite to finish. Different best describes this beer. Aged bottles of this are better, a cellared bottle update is in work. 31207

Bottle from Keg & Bottle 2. This bottle is 10%. Pour a very thick deep dark color. No foam. Slightly sweet coffee and chocolate aroma. Vanilla and some fruity notes as well. Maybe a hint of alcohol. Very strong roasted maltiness. Sugary sweet at spots. Very strong. Some alcohol is noticable. Alot of dark fruit flavors mixing it up with the sugar and alcohol. Very full flavored brew, almost too much. If someone told me that this was an impy stout I would believe it.
