Definitely not your Dad's Wimpy 30 weight. An enormous & luscious dark ale that's as opaque and dark as the most well used motor oils.

A very nice beer. Though bourbon aged, the bourbon is only a slight element. Wonderfully viscous and went down nicely.

Dark pour, tan head. Lots of roasted malt, some bitter chocolate, a bit of alcohol burn, but mellows out as it goes on, Somewhat sticky on the lips. Very nice, intense!

What an intense beer! This offering is awesome from first sight to last sip. The beer pours basically a black color with a very generious, soft and fluffy brown head. The head leaves a minimal amout of lacing around the glass, but I’m not about to hold that against this beer. The aroma is full of dark roasted coffee, cream, chocolate, light hops and a slight hint of bread. The body is thick, rich and extremely delicious. This beer is so dangerous due to its extreme drinkablility and smooth body, but yet it punches back with its strong character. The alcohol level is not present in the actual body, but reserves its right to smack you in the face. And it does just that. After a bomber of this, I’m feeling pretty good! The flavors are really intense and delicious, with notes of chocolate, vanilla, roasted coffee, floral hops, creamy malt and bread. The finish begs you to take another sip, and then another, and then another. This bomber went way too quickly. I wish I had another. Good for me that I know exactly where to find it for a rematch!

Bottle Porus a deep blacl of course with a thin but lasting tan head. Huge vanilla and licorice roasted aroma. Flavor was big roasted and plenty of coffee. Smokey bitter trailer. Moderte palate and a bit lively on the carbonation. Bice overall though Thanks Jake

year old bottle...pours an opaque coffee color with yeast floaters topped by a fluffy cocoa head which quickly fades into a ring. aroma and flavor are a big disappointment until this beast warms up...the nose is full of stingy alcohol, bitter roasty malt, chocolate, coffee, brown sugar, nuts, wood and general bourbon qualities. flavor is quite robust and perplexing...a cross between a BW and a coffee porter...a bit sweet but bearable. notes of coffee, brown sugar, vanilla, dark raisins and wood with yeasty dryness on the finish. bitterness and alcohol linger in the aftertaste. medium to full bodied and a lot lighter mouth feel than would be expected from such a sweet aroma and flavor. genre defying brew...

Courtesy Ibrew2or3, drunk at the Throwdown. Super dark brown color with a thin soapy head. Heavy malt and brown sugar in aroma; dark spice and some coffee, pepper. Silky palate with a slight hop finish that melds nicely with a raisiny spice flavor. Alcohol present in taste as well. Dark, heavy, and rich. My first Pizza Port, thanks Ibrew.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours a very nice looking deep brown/black with tan/chocolate head. Aroma of espresso, mocha, very faint fruit, dark roasted grain. Flavor of rich dark roast, espresso, baking cocoa, some fruit, faint bitter. Mouth feel is heavy body with medium carbonation. Overall, a very tasty brew, rich brew....good shit!

Sampled at Dutch 70’s "Tasting in the Woods; Part Deux". Pours very dark brown, almost black with a quickly fading brown head. Pleasant roasted malt, smoke, plenty of hops and a light whiff of alcohol in the nose. Flavor has notes of roastiness, vanilla, dark chocolate, licorice, sweet caramel, cherry, alcohol and then a solid dose of piney resinous hops to "balance" it out. Full, round and creamy with subtle carbonation. Complex and flavorful, really good stuff.
