bomber from a trade with suzygreenburg. pours black with a fizzy tan head. aromas of dirty diaper and tin. OH NO INFECTION!! god damn it i hate infected beers!! fuck!!! infections suck!!!! uuuugggghhhhhh!!!!!...... at the second KW tasting. this bottle wasnt infected. big roasted malt nose. drinks like a impy stout. good but not mind blowing. i still hope to have a sober infection free bottle.

Basically opaque espresso colored, with a quickly fading brown head. Aroma is roasty sweet with chocolate notes. Taste is much drier and way more alcoholic than I expected with a strong espresso-like presence. Mouthfeel is a bit rough with a slightly woody astringent edge. $12 / 500ml

bottle poured a dark brown bordering on black with a frothy brown head when poured with some vigor. aroma has roasted coffee, licorice, molasses, light vanilla, and faint barrel wood. oily coating mouth feel with light carbonation. flavor has thick dark malt, molasses, bitter coffee, mild wood, and a hit of baking chocolate. not sure how to classify this myself, bigger than imperial porter but falls short of imperial stout. it is big and rich with alcohol warming and a creeping bitterness mixed with dark side fruits. very enjoyable!

22oz. bottle. OPaque dark brown-black with a small dense dark tan head. Earthen chocolate and tinges of roastiness and dark sugar in the aroma. Roasted malt and coffee bean astringency up front. Ruddy earthen hops compliment tannic flavors and chocolate. Vestiges of residual bitterness in the finish with a faint smokiness and roastiness. Mouthfeel is fairly thick, somewhat chewy.

Poured a super dark brown with light brown and copper highlights. The head was dense, tight and almost brown. A very stout-like pour for this ASA. The aroma was sugars and malts beneath light chocolate, roasted tobacco and some spiced hops. The flavor is light chocolate, roasted malts, tobacco and some definite hints of bourbon/alcohol. Top notch mouthfeel.

Pours a very dark, opaque black with no head even off a pretty firm pour. Nose is heavy with alcohol.Very slight roasted tones to it. Flavor is extremely robust with a roasted quality to it that is deep and clings to the palate. Unfortunately, that drops off to a thinner flavor, though there is still a strong lasting aftertaste. Feel is low on carbonation and bordering on syrup like. Overall a pretty good beer. I only wish the initial flavor profile would hold out a lot longer.
