Incredibly smooth, especially compared to its counterpart "old" viscosity. Deep black pour with small tan head. Bourbon is definitly present, and at times a little to over-agressive. Big time dark malts with a nice vanilla touch. Quite nice.

Black with a small tan head. Vineous aroma of malt, oak and spice with a tiny vegetable note (DMS?). Spicy, roasted flavour with some alcohol and oak.

Bottle thanks to decaturstevo. 2008 Bottle. Dark dark brown-black with a thick dark tan head. Thick lacing. Aroma of bourbon, charred oak, toasted malts, toasted wood. Taste is bourbon soaked oak, chocolate, nice alcohol warmth. Not overly complex but delicious.

bottle. Average thich light brown head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Black color. Aroma of roasted malt, bourbon, alcohol, liquorish, dried fruit like. Full bodied, soft carbonation, thich oily texture. Heavy sweet flavor with some counter bittrtness. Lingering and warming alcoholic malry finish.

bottle from CaryTheDude for my 1000th rating! Thanks man! Bottle opens with a nice pop. Pours very dark almost black with slight tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, bourbon, wood. Flavor of bourbon, coffee, vinous, dark fruits. A bit of chocolate cream. The barrel really comes out in this one. Thinner mouthfeel than i expected, but complemented by a nice, soft carbonation with a slightly boozy finish. Absolutely stunning awesome brew. I owe TheDude for this one.

2007 Bottle samples June 2009. Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Imediately the aroma is just huge. Maybe I liked this one extra because I had it following a bunch of sours and it was a great change. I think it would be great anytime. Malty goodness, mellow, some wood, some bourbon, vanilla, toffee. Still a bit hot after two years. Crazy good.

Vintage 2008 Strong aroams of bourbon, vanilla, roasted malts. Had a fluffy foamy head, tan and quite noticable. Tasted wonderful, with bourbon, roasted coffee, chocolate, vanilla. Was light, airy, fluffy in the mouthfeel. Really amazing.
