Pours a dark brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of oak barrel, strong bourbon, dark fruit, and a hint of vanilla. Flavor of chocolate, bourbon, molasses, and oak.

Tough to say this has an appearance. Black paint? Have had 2 occasions and consistant notes. Thick and rich. So packed in there the oak, bourbon, stout and alc all get smashed together and become very compacted. I’d guess this would age for years and years. But could see all that thickness sticking together and making a blob. Stunning experience and one to share.

08 Bottle. Poured a deep brown/black color with a 1/3 inch beige head that slowly receded to a thick layer and left some webby lacing. Aroma consists of vanilla, bourbon, oak, some chocolate, and a bit of alcohol. Sweet, smooth entry with some moderate chocolate and molasses leads into a strong bourbon booziness with some chalk, oak, and a bit of light, lingering roast on the finish. Low carbonation and decent mouthfeel. Overall, this was a solid beer, but it tends to be an example of barrel aging overshadowing the base beer, which I really like. I suppose I may try it again down the road, and I will see if my perception changes.

Botella. deep dark brown. Alco vanilla brown sugar and dark fruity aroma. Very pleasant mouthfeel. Flavour of dark fruits, wood, alcohol, vanilla, soft roasty malt and a very nice dark fruity bourbony finish. Perfectly balanced.

Bottle. High creamy brown head with long nice lacings. Mild sweet creamy coffee liquorice burbon wood aroma. Coffee liquorice wood flavor with low carbonation and a long aftertaste.

Flaske: God duft af bourbon. Klassisk bourbon impy, men dog meget lettere i kroppen. For en gang skyld fungerer det. Viscosity er dog ikke dækkende da den ikke er synderlig tykflydende. Men dejlig dejlig øl.

pitch black, very large brown thick head. aroma of licorice, barley wine’ish, very faint sort of sourish, kinda nice, i’d like some roasted coffe added. flavor is super well balanced, licorice, vanilala, wooden aged, dry, very near perfect flavor. overall a must-try beer - this is real good stuff indeed.

Bottle. Black coloured with a medium sized beige head. Sweet and light roasted aroma with lots of dried fruits and notes of wood, vanilla and alcohol. Light roasted flavour of dried fruits, wood, vanilla and alcohol with notes of liquorice. Warming alcoholic finish.
