Taster at Lost Abbey. Super, pitch black pour, very thick with a chocolate head. Dark fruit aroma, slightly woody and it had alot going on. Flavor was much the same, bourbon, oak dark fruits, very well done and tasty.

On tap at The Lost Abbey. Black pour with thick creamy tan head. Smooth vanilla, chocolate and bourbon tastes. Very creamy mouthfeel. Wonderful

Sample @ EBF ’09. Pours almost jet black with barely any head. Aroma is overwhelmed by the bourbon but I also detected vanilla, roasted malt, and chocolate. Taste is chocolate up front dissolving into that vanilla oak characteristic you usually get with a bourbon-aged stout. Yet another fantastic offering from this great brewery.

Huge thanks to hopsleeroy for sharing a bottle of this! Pours a dark black color with very little head. Smell is rich bourbon, chocolate, coconut, and vanilla. Awesome nose. Taste is chocolate, coconut, a touch of vanilla and oakiness too. Medium to slightly full bodied and somewhat soft carbonation. Really fucking fantastic overall. Reminded me a bit of BA Speedway, but I liked this better.

Bottle shared with Gabe @ Monks. Poured like oil with black color with small tan head. Aroma of sugar, vanilla, and alcohol. Taste was very well balanced and sweet. Not overdone with the bourbon and very smooth and easy to sip. Just wish I had more...

Bottle @ Monk’s: Poured a dark oil brown/black. The aroma was bourbon. The flavor was dark fruit, oak, bourbon, vanilla and dark chocolate. Overall, this is one of the best beers I’ve ever had. Very smooth, perfectly balanced and lots of flavor.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of fordest. Pours black and opaque with a small beige head. Distinct bourbon aroma. Quite full-bodied, a little low in carbonation, hard roasted malts - but never burned. Some dark chocolate also. Fairly malt bitter finish. 010209

Sampled at the Bockyhorsey tasting, courtesy of rustychiles. Pours a deep black with some reddish highlights and a small brown head. Aroma of bourbon, wood, roasted malt and dark chocolate. Similar flavor, with some vanilla and a big bourbon kick. The bourbon and alcohol really come through in this baby! Very nice.
