Dark black with a thin tan head. Smells rich and syrupy with vinous, dark fruit, oak and oil notes. Potent taste!! Clears up the nostrils for sure.. Smooth and slick with notes of espresso, chocolate, vinegar, dark fruit and a slight nuttiness. Freaking beautiful.

Bottle: The aroma has lots of chocolate and bourbon, along with some buttery vanilla and mild roastiness. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a half inch beige head. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate and caramel. The finish has moderate bourbon, vanilla, light fruiht, and light roastiness. Medium-full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel.

From bottle courtesy of Naka. Oak and vanilla heaven, a super aroma. Sweet and velvetty. Dark black with thin tan head. Oily viscous body with medium carbonation and a bunch of warming. Great oak, vanilla taste, with sweet and alcoholic warming. Great malt flavor. Chocolatey and smooth. Just a great beer and a super way to finish up the evening.

Pours a very dark brown with a thin head. Aroma of bourbon, wood, alcohol, chocolate. Flavor is lightly sweet with a bit of a bite at the end. Nice mouthfeel. Too much alcohol comes through.

bottle courtesy of SoLan: pours a dark dark brown witha very small to no head the is tan. aroam is very bourbon with plenty of alcohol, lots of dark fruits, raisins mostly, some deeper caramel malts. flavour is plenty of bourbon alcohol, decent roast and a touch of bitter chocolate, good malts but not as amzing as a expected, tons of bourbon seems to overpower the rest.

375 ml bottle. 2007 vintage. Dark black pour. Thin, light brown head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, bitter chocolate. Sweetness has mellowed nicely. Bourbon notes really come through and compliments the dark chocolate notes. Warming alcohol at the finish. Creamy, smooth mouthfeel. What an amazing beer!

2007 Bottle (9/19/2008 ). Yum, a real delight! Oak and bourbon tones are not overly in your face like a lot of bourbon barrel aged beers. A lot of sweet caramel and vanilla flavors. Warms in the mouth. Definitely drinks like a port.
