Bottle: The aroma has lots of chocolate and bourbon, along with some buttery vanilla and mild roastiness. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a half inch beige head. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate and caramel. The finish has moderate bourbon, vanilla, light fruiht, and light roastiness. Medium-full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 19, 2008 Updated: May 25, 20092007 Bottle (9/19/2008 ). Yum, a real delight! Oak and bourbon tones are not overly in your face like a lot of bourbon barrel aged beers. A lot of sweet caramel and vanilla flavors. Warms in the mouth. Definitely drinks like a port.
