Bottle. Thanks to Thaddeus for this gift. A brown to black color with a rich dark brown head. A wonderfully rich aroma with dark fruits, vanilla, and cherry. Full bodied and creamy with a warming alcohol presence. The bourbon barrels don’t overwhelm the flavor. A nice bite at the finish.

Bottle courtesy of Bu11zeye: Poured a pitch-black color ale with a small foamy head with average retention and some lacing. Aroma of bourbon and oak with some notes of roasted malt. Taste is also dominated by some nice notes of bourbon with some light oak with some lightly sweet roasted malt notes. Texture is somewhat oily with average carbonation and full body. Alcohol is definitely not too apparent and bourbon is well balanced. Very good over all but I have to admit I was expecting more character from this beer, this is easily drinkable and I would have never guessed the 12% of ABV.

Thanks to therealbastard for sharing. Pours like oil with small dark brown head. Aromas of burbon, roasted malt, and coffee. Flavors of roasted malt, oak, oats, dark fruits, and burbon. Weird consistancy while drinking. From the flavors it tastes like a stout, but the body is way too thin. Way over-rated and way overpriced.

I’m not exactly sure how to describe the flavor of this. It is very unique, but the main flavors are bourbon, vinegar, dark fruit, and smoke. The alcohol is really present in this one. If you don’t like bourbon save it for someone who does. It poures blacker than my toejam, with a eight of an inch of brown head. Nose is all alcohol and smells very similar to the GIBCS. Good, but definately not great. Pretty dissapointed with this beer.

Thanks to eaglefan538 for this wonderful brew! The pour was a beautiful dark brown with just a little head and some mild lacing clinging to the glass on a swirl. The aroma was out of this world incredible with bourbon, vanilla, cocoa screaming at you and some maple...probably the best smelling beer I’ve ever encountered. The flavor followed suit, incredibly complex, rich and creamy, perfectly complemented by the bourbon, better than any bourbon aged beer yet. The mouthfeel was perfect as well...the carbonation level was perfect and this baby just coated your mouth and stayed there. Excellent. I might have enjoyed the Cuvee de Tomme just a LITTLE bit more, but other than that, I’d be hard pressed to name a better beer.

Dark brown-black pour....love the aroma as much as the younger variety. Big wood, vanilla, bourbon...all the good stuff. Flavor is terrific...slightly sweet, dark fruits, more bourbon wood..light licorice. Not as full bodied as I’d expected but that doesn’t detract from the enjoyment. Wish I could’ve gotten this in a bomber----or bigger! I’ll always be on the lookout for this gem.

375 Bottle. 07 release. Pours a pitch black with no head. Smells like top shelf boubon with a little smoke, chocolate and sweet sugar. Taste is the same but with a little sour funk in there. Mouthfeel is dead flat buy plays well into this style. This one is damn tasty.

Rating #100.....finally an excuse to open this one.

Bottle via mailorder from Joey at South Bay Drugs And Liquor.

Appearance
Pours like motor oil 10,000 miles past when it should have been changed with a small yet bubbly light brown head.

Smell
Aroma of bourbon, chocolate, roasted coffee beans, toasted barley, malt, and some hints of fruits.

Taste
Wow, this rich bourbony beast has a nice decadent chocolate, roasty coffee, bourbon all in wonder flavor going on. The mouthfeel is very full and amazing and the flavors all come together into a blissful co-existance. Notes of fruits linger at the finish but don’t overpower the other desirable flavors of this beast.

Final Thoughts
I’m very glad that I chose this as #100, it did not let me down in any way. This simply put is an amazing brew in a class of it’s own. Simply an amazing world class brew!!!
