Rate from The Map Room, draft. Pours a dark brown near black shinny thicker cola color with thin frothy cream color fizzy head. Aroma is wonderful, rich raisins, great oxidation which I have missed in beers of late, sweet but not cloying, nutty, lovely bourban, hot finish but in a great way, rum-raisin, some dark fruit, really lovely, touch of licorice towards the finish. Long rich nutty rum raisin aftertaste that is just slightly ashy. Full bodied, lighter side though, smooth and creamy, avoids being heavy, and also avoids the sticky syrupness of regular viscousity, fine sizzling carbonation that improoves the beer without detracting. Maybe my favorite from Tomme. Fan-freaking-tastic. [This beer actually got more boozy and harder to drink as I drank, opposed to the other way around... I don’t imagine any of the bottles are as good as this is on draft] This beer honestly tastes like Haagen-Daz Rum Raisin ice cream!

I couldn’t let this one sit around for too long it was calling my name. Worthy of a nice rating as this is a well made, well aged beer. Smooth, woody, oaky, vanilla laden, roasted malt, a touch of sweetness, and some great fruit flavors show off this beers complexity. Got some nice tan head that didn’t last for too long but confirmed a nice carbonation. Prune, molasses and vanilla aromas. Flavor of roasted malt and oak. Some vanilla again and a little tinge of whiskey peat. Finish is fruity and bittersweet like cocoa and coffee. Good stuff.

Bottled 375ml. Vintage 2009. It pours a very dark beer with no head. Almonds, alcohol, pralines, a lot of plums, raisins, faint acetone, Shōchū, walnut and vanilla in the nose. A lot of Shōchū and walnut showing up in the taste. Sweet. Full bodied. Almonds and acetone sneaking in. No carbonation. Licorice, mint, heather and walnut in the finish which is very alcoholic. Rather dissapointing. I didn’t enjoy this beer that much.

Bottle @ HJ Hansen, Odense. Pours black with small bubbles on top. Nose is sweet of bourbon and roast. Lots of vanilla and oak. Low carbonation. A bit warm and slick. Taste is bourbon, coffee, vanilla and caramel. A barrel version that really works. Enjoying every sip of this complex masterpiece. Thank you God!

Black Pour with a small tan head. Aroma is dark bourbon, vanilla, woody and sugary. Strong dark burnt caramel Malt character with some sweetness, loads of bourbon overtones and booziness. Powerful, Decadent, Thick creamy mouthfeel. a dry vanilla sweetness at the finish. Grandiose

Black massive pour with a very small brown head. Aroma hige amounts of bourbon and vanilla with every dark sugar facet covered. Imperial porter with huge amounts of sweetness- reminds me of LA Angels Share but more heavily malt-oriented and a bit less sweet. Flavor is quite similar to the nose with dark fruit, caramel, molasses, and brown sugar coming though powerfully. Palate is rich, thick and amazing. Velvety and smooth.
