Goodgrief (1045), Middletown, Delaware, USA Apr 14, 2008 Thanks to eaglefan538 for this wonderful brew! The pour was a beautiful dark brown with just a little head and some mild lacing clinging to the glass on a swirl. The aroma was out of this world incredible with bourbon, vanilla, cocoa screaming at you and some maple...probably the best smelling beer I’ve ever encountered. The flavor followed suit, incredibly complex, rich and creamy, perfectly complemented by the bourbon, better than any bourbon aged beer yet. The mouthfeel was perfect as well...the carbonation level was perfect and this baby just coated your mouth and stayed there. Excellent. I might have enjoyed the Cuvee de Tomme just a LITTLE bit more, but other than that, I’d be hard pressed to name a better beer.

Bottle: The aroma has lots of chocolate and bourbon, along with some buttery vanilla and mild roastiness. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a half inch beige head. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate and caramel. The finish has moderate bourbon, vanilla, light fruiht, and light roastiness. Medium-full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Nate (2253), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 21, 2008 From bottle courtesy of Naka. Oak and vanilla heaven, a super aroma. Sweet and velvetty. Dark black with thin tan head.
