Aroma was a nice and smokey with dark fruit, oak, vanilla .Flavor is dark chocolate, bourbon, roasted malts, with a slight sour. Has a nice and smooth alcohol burn. seems very thick, but taste a bit watery. Not worth the 16.99.

Tastes like a mix of a 30 year old tawny port and a smoked porter. It works big time. Drink it not like a beer but like a dessert wine. Treat it properly, and it’s a great drink. daniele (1746), Italy

The aroma was a huge chocolate/vanilla mix with a heavy oak presence. Pour was a deep dark black with no head or bubbles. Taste was incredibly complex. Dark chocolate with vanilla are strong with the oak and bourbon heavy in the aftertaste. Each sip throughout the whole beer was different. Only downfall to this beer was the fact that it was completely flat. A little carbonation would’ve gone a long way, but the great complex flavor more than made up for it. Delicious! blutt59 (2169), Dallas, Texas, USA

Overall a very well done bourbon barrel aged beer. Hell yes. ksurkin (406), Norfolk, Virginia, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 10, 2009 Near black pour with no head. Massive bourbon aroma with soy, black strap molasses, huge smoke note and lots of volatile alcohol. The flavor is overwhelming charred oak, vanilla, soy sauce, and bitter dark chocolate. The body is syrupy with low carbonation. Man, this beer is just HUGE.
