Pours an opaque brown, yeasty with a thick head. Sweet chocolate aroma. Rich, roasty and woody flavor. Bitter finish.

Very dark brown in colour with a lingering thin beige coloured head, very light and patchy lacing. The aroma is lightly roasty, some chocolate, some alcohol and a moderate sweetness. The flavour has more alcohol showing up, mildly sweet, chocolate but its a bit chalky, roasty throughout. Lightly sweet and alcoholic mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes warming with moderate amounts of alcohol, bitter and lingering.

This gives the word "disappointing" a new meaning. The thin body and high alcohol burning hurt this one for me.

650ml bottle obtained in a trade with rustychiles, thanks Rusty.
Opened on March 25, 2008.
No date.
Score: 6/3/6/3/13

Update:
I was able to get another bottle of this from TheCheeseMan and I have to say that it was very nice. Lots of chocolate in this and the alcohol wasn’t as noticable. Dark fruits, coffee and vanilla are all there. Very well done. The score is for the second bottle as the first was obviously off.

Black hue with a big tan creamy head. Nose is milk chocolate, roast, molasses, and a touch of coffee. Flavor is sweet chocolate malt with brown sugar and syrupy molasses, some light hops in the middle, finishes mild and sweet. Palate is medium-bodied with a creamy smooth texture and mild carbonation. A solid chocolate stout from Tomme & Co, very little alcohol perceived at ~10%, a great stout treat!

On tap at brewery for Pre-Stone brunch. Way dark color with little head. Remarkably smooth and flavorful, but still had a little bite of bitterness. Reminded me of another San Diego area brewery’s really good choco/oatmeal stout. I think this would be a really good stout for people who claim to like beer but say stouts are too bitter and heavy. Nice beer.

Draft @ brewery. Pours black with tan head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. Thin mouthfeel. Alcohol definitely present. Mild burn in the finish. Pretty good.
