Commercial Description:
Hogwarts is a look back to the time before hops were used in beer. A unique "gruit" blend of lavender, grains of paradise, marsh rosemary, chamomile, and mugworts replaces the hops for a complex herbal, slightly spicy palate. The result is a crisp, effevescent, refreshing pale Kolsch.

Great spice and pine aroma. Cloudy yellow. Great spicy taste that is reserved, yet still has a zing to it. Enjoyed this Kolsch.

Gold color. Medium head. Aroma is herbal, fruity and grainy. A medium bodied Kolsch. Malts are fruity and sweet. There are NO hops is this beer it is spiced with a “gruit” blend of lavender, grains of paradise, marsh rosemary, chamomile and mugwort. The herbs add a spicy and earthy herbal ness to the beer. Lively carbonation. Interesting beer. Crisp and bright. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
