Commercial Description:
Crisp with bitterness and flavor, this intense India Pale takes a pale malt background and pushes it over the top with generous hop additions throughout the brewing process. Our most popular ale.

On cask. Aroma is floral and pine hops with pale malts that are a little odd/off. Pours light gold with a fluffy head and great lacing. Flavors of florals, pine, and light citrus. The malt profile is small, but is does seem a little wierd. I guess wet cardboard is a good description. It was easy to drink however. I have had worse.

22 oz bottle purchased at 99 bottles in Federal Way, Washington. The label listed only Port Townsend I.P.A. (India Pale Ale). confirmed with the brewery that this is indeed Bitter End IPA. Pour is clear golden with some orange. Fizzy white head. Aroma is some dirty pine hoppiness - a bit of a wet cardboard smell. Taste of orange citrus hops, slightly sweet maltiness, and more of the wet cardboard dirtiness. I would try this again on tap, I have a feeling the bottling process was not kind to this beer. That or the beer was a bit on the old side.

Fresh hop aroma along with floral hop finish. Overall, it’s a drinkable IPA. Not too much grapefruit, which is the way I like IPAs. Nice IPA with my Thai Burger.

22oz Bomber - Gravity Beer Market - Olympia, WA
Aroma – Nice Hops nose with a good balance of malts.
Appearance – Golden in color, Nice head and clear.
Flavor – Lots of IPA flavor. This had a good balance with the malts and the hops and the hops gave off a bitter crispness. Good Stuff…
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, great texture with a good dry finish.
Overall – This was a good easy to drink IPA. Had some flat spots (Watery) but overall a easy drinking beer.

Bottle, courtesy of artusory. Very nice clear golden with a white head. Musty, damp and husky nose, not really floral/hoppy. Flavor has notes of pale malt (no detectable caramel), somewhat of a lightly metallic bitterness, and some grapefruit/citrus. Doesn’t really have any hoppy flavor (or aroma). Medium to light bodied, a touch watery with moderate carbonation.

Bottle from Enniskillen. Hazy pale body with a tiny white head. The nose is cotton candy, dough, light citrus and floral hops. The flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter with dough, grapefruit and very light caramel. Medium/light body is slightly thin with light carbonation.

Bomber pours a deep gold with off white head. The aroma is light making it tough to read. I get faint sweetness, roastiness and earthiness. The taste begins with vague bitterness. Before too long mild malt sweetness wells up. By midway pine hop bitterness builds toward the finish and is met by roasted malts and faint earthiness.
