Port Townsend Black Bart

Dark black with good head. Sour cherry and cinnamon aroma. Awful sour taste that just ain’t right in a Schwarzbier. Awful. I hope this was an off keg.

Draft @ Strange Brewfest 07: Pours a pitch black color with creamy tan head. The nose is fairly dry and roasty with coffee and tar notes. The sweet chocolateness is there, but overpowered by the bitter cocoa notes. Maybe too dry, maybe too bitter. Light plum. Either way; unbalanced.
