bottle compliments of glkaiser. thanks. light brown pour with a lot of clarity. thin soapy white head. apricot and slightly mettalic aroma. light body. big wheat and barley. dry bitter finish but the beer is lacking substance. not feeling this one.

Lightly sweet and floral aroma, no hint of citrus or pine. Light apricot color with minimal head. Medium mouthfeel. Not overly malty nor overly hopped. Quite nice, seems just a bit too carbonated to be typically English. Good balance.

Didn’t experience the "gusher" effect. A very nice traditional bitter. Not as taste bud-bashing as some of the Rogue bitters, but still very appealing. Slight floral taste, but not distracting from the overall appeal. A very nice beer.

The body of this was medium orange with a white colored head. The aroma was apples with some carrots. There was also caramel and some leafves. The taste was bread crust with peanuts and some apple core. The carbonation was nice and smooth.

(22 oz bottle: $3.49 at Bottleworks in Seattle, WA) Well, despite being a bit annoyed by the massive heading on this beer and the subsequent inability to pour more than a few ounces at a time before the head nears the rim of the glass, this is still a reasonably enjoyable beer. This beer isn’t a big, hoppy English pale ale like some others I’ve tasted recently, but rather it shows a more restrained hops profile with only mild bitterness and not citrusy. Slight floral nature is a bit of a distraction for me. The malt is mildly sweet and lightly nutty, and there is also a bit of fruitiness. The nose is also somewhat hoppy with a bit of floral and sweet aromas. Light-medium in body, gently carbonated on the palate despite the massive head, and has a very smooth mouthfeel. Light amber in color and slightly hazy. The head never fades below at least a quarter-inch, and it leaves large chunky patches of foam on the glass. Pretty good brew overall, enjoyable enough, but not something to rave about. Still, this is my first Port Townsend beer and I expect more good things to come.

Ahh…the gusher. The rapidly rising, mountainous head. The overcarbonated bubbly taste. It gets inthe way of proper beer reviewing. Soapy, and yeasty aroma. Too much yeast in the flavor. Too bad, because the English hops and malts seem to be nicely done beneath the scourge. An unfortunate play.

22oz bottle. Medium orange copper gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is slightly malty, fruity, earthy and a touch floral. A light to medium bodied English Pale Ale. Malts are bready and slightly fruity. Hops are mild, kind of ear thy and floral. Good balance. Nice earthy flavors. Very drinkable English Style Pale Ale. Would make a good session beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Dull reddish amber appearance, pretty foamy. Mild earthy aroma. Light toffee notes on the palate, earty dryness and citric bitterness in the finish. Decent session ale.
