Not as taste bud-bashing as some of the Rogue bitters, but still very appealing. Slight floral taste, but not distracting from the overall appeal. A very nice beer. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 3, 2007 Body is amber, thin white head. Aroma is tea, light hoppiness, and caramel, with a hint of mocha. Taste is caramel, very subtle coffee, fruit, light hoppiness. What was up with the coffee? It was there, don’t see it in anyone elses ratings, but it was there, perhaps and mistake during brewing? IrishBoy (2728), Bakersfield, California, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 28, 2004 Bottle pours slightly hazy dull golden, small white pancake batter like head, decent carbonation, with fairly sticky lacing. Subtle hops and malts on the nose. Slightly malty up front, maybe a bit bready, followed by a mild bitter trailer. Good body, decent mouthfeel. Finishes slightly malty, slightly sweet. Pretty tasty!

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 13, 2003 Aroma is light, but with pleasant hop essence, fruity overtones; color is bronze/amber with medium off-white head...The flavor features a nicely-bitter front with smooth malt floor, all in mild measure and balance...the finish tapers off smoothly but without comment...Overall, this is quite tasty and like many English, this is an understated effort... robforbes (1114), Bremerton, Washington, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 8, 2007 Hazy golden, firm head. Sweeter hop aroma, is that the fuggle? Solid bitter flavor, a little earthy, taste filled the mouth, even the roof. Went great with gruyere cheese.
