Commercial Description:
Characterized by intense brown roasted malt flavors, this full bodied ale is deep reddish brown in color. A bold hop bitterness is balanced by a healthy addition of caramel malts. Cascade hops provide a flowery and aromatic hop finish.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of Maria. Pours a hazy, orangey brown with a bubbly, dissipating, off-white head. Lightly nutty aroma. Medium body with a gigantic carbonation that I doubt was ever intentional. Roasted malt and nut accents. The finish is dry without much bitterness. More of a Brown Ale than a Porter really. 290308

22 fl oz bottle@fonefan/Brugmansia’s Cnudde tasting. Pours dark brown with a reddish hue and a crispy tan head. Light citric dry aroma with a minor roasted malt note, mild infection. Flavour is dry roasted malt with a light coffee note. Finish holds an initial light citric note and a solid bitter roasted flavour following. Nice roasted and mild lingering finish.

Taster - Port Towsend Brewing - Port Townsend, WA.
Aroma – Dark malt aroma almost like a dark chocolate. Tad hops in the nose also.
Appearance – Brown in color, Nice head and clear.
Flavor – Good dark malts this was a very nice porter. Nice slight coffee flavor to this. Some burnt malts also in the flavor.
Palate – Good Porter Mouthfeel, nice texture with a good dry finish.
Overall – This was a good porter easy to drink. Seemed a tad small needed a umph factor to get this one going.

22 oz bottle, via 5000. Pours a clear mahogany brown body under a small fleeting light brown head. The nose is showing alot of caramel and roast with lighter notes of butter, and a touch of hoppiness. The flavor just has way too much caramel sweetness for a Porter, it really masks any chocolate malt and most of the roastiness. There’s coffee and slightly burnt malts on the finish with the lightest of bitterness. Long after the swallow there’s a lingering maple syrup taste. The mouthfeel is just slightly clingy and sweet with moderate fizzy carbonation. Overall, this just kind of stood outside the bounds of a Porter to me, it was OK to drink, but not something I’d recommend.

Slightly transparent brown/black with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, sweetness and berries. The flavour has sweetness, notes of coffee, roasted malt, a touch of berries and a very low bitterness, that develops further in the long finish, where a bit of coffee and toffee tursn up. Thank you to After4ever/Tom for this one!
