Commercial Description:
In tribute to Chief Chetzemoka we named our Golden Ale. Pale malts combined with Northwest whole leaf hops and a touch of crystal malts create this highly drinkable light ale. Aromatic hops add a crisp clean hop finish to make this ale a true Port Townsend treasure.

Bottle, from the shack of a fish restaurant across from the Keystone ferry terminal

Bright golden colour. Light malt-accented aroma with shades of hop. Pretty bland stuff. Flavour shows a bit of pale malt, but this doesn’t make much of an impression. When will brewers grasp that just because an ale is golden doesn’t mean it has to suck?

22 oz bomber while waiting for a ferry. Pale golden colour, thin white head. Malty aroma,, light caramel. Very thin body, slightly herbal aroma and flavour. Easy to drink if a bit industrial. Grainy malts.

Gold pour with a thin head. that lasted for a while. Light fruity aroma with some nice citrus notes. Light grainy malts with more fruity hops that add a crisp bitterness. A nice golden ale.

Bottle from Safeway, Port Angeles; nose is grassy hops, grain, with a little honey sweetness; Gold with a big white, longlasting head; flavor is sweet and a little wheaty; with a little tiny bit of hop bitterness. Would be a good lawnmower beer so you didn’t have to drink Bud, Miller, or Coors!

Bottle pours golden, miniscule to zero head, very light carbonation, with virtually no carbonation.   Slight aroma of sweet malts, but very subtle.   Flavor too is very subtle, sweet malts, slight grass & grain.   Mouthfeel and body are a bit thin.   Lack of carbonation really detracts from this beer.   Finish is suprisingly smooth and crisp tho.   A step or two below your average Golden Ale because of its lack of liveyness.

Taster - Port Towsend Brewing - Port Townsend, WA.
Aroma – Light hops in the aroma, had a good malt character.
Appearance – Golden in color, Nice head and clear.
Flavor – Lots of good malt and hops flavor.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, easy to drink texture with a good dry finish.
Overall – A very nice easy to drink light ale. Had some hops and malts. A good solid beer.

On tap at some place in Port Angeles, WA. Color was clear gold with some lacing. Aroma of bread and fruit. Flavor of sweet malt and bread. Not great flavor here.

Gold appearance--no surprise there!- with a mild body and almost banana touch to the flavor. A slightly interesting blonde ale.
