Hazy orange color. Thin lasting head. Chunks of yeast and stuff. Aroma is and citrusy with some biscuity notes. Some grapefruit rind, lemon, mint, and straight funk. A hop forward beer. Not alot of malt. Very resiny and dry. A west coast styled IPA. There is a little bit of astringence here, and it is almost uncarbonated. Decent.

Bottle, cloudy particle-y golden with a high white head. Lemony/citrusy hop nose. Pale malt, lemon, grapefruit and resinous bitterness. A little pine and some vague fruitiness too. Didn’t pick up any caramel notes. Medium bodied with moderate to light carbonation. I couldn’t quite get into this one.

(11/3/07, 22oz bottle, thanks artusory) Medium off-white head atop cloudy apple juice body. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, some orange, pine, light apricot. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit/grassy, light apricot. Quite bitter. Medium body, light resin.

Bomber pours clear copper with thin off white head. I smell a quick pulse of grapefruit hops before a mixture of buttered bread, caramel, toasty malts and ginger bread cookies join the aromatic fun. The taste starts both malty and bitter. I get roasted malts, toffee, bread, a hint of caramel along with grapefruit hop and some pine hop bitterness. The hop bitterness grows as the taste progresses and it becomes a bit watery too. Toward the finish roasty and caramelized maltiness try and compete with the hops but come up short in the end. This is a fairly malty IPA with nice interest and lingering grapefruit hop bitterness into the after taste.

Sharp pine hops in a nose otherwise dominated by yeast acetalhyde, giving it one of the most intense green apple aromas I’ve ever experienced. Thankfully you can actually taste some of the nice mandarin orange hop flavors along with the green apple and piney hop oil presence. On the palate it’s sharp and dry, with tart green apple (jolly rancher) and kiwi notes finishing it up.

22oz bottle, courtesy of artusory. Thanks, Ryan! Pours a cloudy, dirty yellow color; white head with patchy fine-bubbled lacing. Tons of grapefruit and apricot and citrus in the aroma; dense, resiny and fruity hops. Zesty, grapefruit and grassy hops in a medium mouthfeel: lots of apricot and green apple and tropical fruits at the core; very interesting hop character; clean and reasonably pleasant. Ryan mentioned green apple, which is definitely there throughout. Medium, sugar and tropical fruit in the finish.

Poured from a 22oz. Murky golden yellow pour. Aroma of pure citrus and tropical sunshine in pineapple, mango, and orange; cotton candy and mounds of powder fruit sugar with a green apple flavoring. Tastes of soft floral tones, peach and pear skins, being similar altogether to the fruits present in the aroma but emphasizing their more forward bitter characteristics. Slipping into imbalance slowly and getting sharper with sugary bite, as the insufficiency of malt increasingly steadies its glare. Thin and extremely crisp in the mouth. Finishes with a crunch of apple sugar. Tasty, but certainly flawed. Thanks for sharing, Ryan!

Bottle. Clear and golden in color. No head to speak of. Nice earhy aroma. Smelled of resin. The sweetness of the malt quickly fades to bitter. This beer was a little too flat for my taste, but still a decent IPA.
