DA (2641), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Oct 5, 2008 Hood River Hops Fest 2008. They had a triple dry-hopped version on tap. Big floral citrus hop nose. This was really nice, all the dry hoping gave this a enormous hop flavor without a palate-destroying bitterness. Spicy and resiny in the finish, the citrus hops have an almost orange candy-like quality.
kyzr (1010), Belgrade, Montana, USA Dec 9, 2008 Bottle thanks to riversideAK. Pours a cloudy gold with small white head. Nice fruit, grass and hoppy nose. Flavor has nice big rip of floral hops that mellows away to more of a bittering hop that catches you in the back of the mouth. Taverner (553), San Ramon, California, USA Sep 17, 2008 Decent mild IPA. Grassy nose and some nice back-of-the tongue bittering hops, followed by a biscuity finish. Not too bitter, but makes a point. Pour is golden/caramel with white head. SDbruboy (1822), San Diego, California, USA Aug 17, 2008 22 oz. bottle from Bottleworks. Pours clear bright, orangey amber with a moderate whitish head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of rich fruity malts, with orange juice, caramel and pine. Flavor is also rich and malty, with a nice balancing of brash hops, citrus rind, spruce and herbs. Medium to full body and gently tingly carbonation. This is my idea of a great NW IPA, huge malts and huge hops - hooray! anders37 (2981), Malmö, Sweden Aug 15, 2008 Draught @ WABF 2008. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy aroma. Malty bitter hoppy flavor with hints of citrus. Sweetish malty hoppy finish With a long hoppy bitter aftertaste.
