BückDich (4482), Boise, Idaho, USA Apr 15, 2008 Bottle: Lightly hazy blond color with a puffy white head, nice lacing and a good looking carbonation level for an IPA. The nose is super fresh and hoppy, lots of cascade and citrusy pine notes. Some grapefruit and small lime notes. The flavor is thinner, mostly the dry hops talking, which I like, with some light pale malt. The finish is thin with only a reminder of how much I liked the nose. A nose front beer, everything else is just going through the motions until the next sniff. Amazing though from where this comes from. I was expecting washington flavor and instead I get a heaping spoonful of San Diego Pale Ale. Yummy!
sersdf (842), chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 27, 2008 draft at hopvine in seattle. this was great and really well balanced. not the hoppiest thing ever, but strong floral notes and a pretty well rounded palate. the nose was fairly standard NW hops variety. orange hued, minor head presario (2382), Calgary, Alberta, Canada May 23, 2008 Bottle. Did not see anything about being bottle conditioned! Huge sea of yeast chunks in cloudy orange-yellow beer. Aroma and taste of grapefruit, lots of grapefruit. Light malt. tiffanya (40), Sumner, Washington, USA May 6, 2008 Flavorful. Hoppy flavors of resinous pinecedar and grapefruitcitrus. Slightly lingering bitter finish. Perfect slightly sweet, yet hoppy, easy-drinking IPA for a hot summer day. fakepurseninja (428), Sammamish, Washington, USA May 4, 2008 Great hop presence on the nose - pale cloudy body. Sweet caramel and crystal maltiness with a really great Cascade hop presence. Light grapefruit citrus and very mildly resious. Has a lot going for it - but overall is a little too thin to be a great NW IPA. jake65 (1179), Meridian, Idaho, USA Apr 24, 2008 Bottle: Slight haze in this golden orange pour. Large, creamy beige head and nice lacing. Nose is fantastic with tons of citrus, bright hops, grapefruit, and light caramel malts. Tastes a bit lost in translation from the awesome aroma. Citrus and florals compete with a soapy ending. Finished a bit brash. Damn, if it would have tasted more like the smell... Thanks Jordan!
