BillKismet (1894), Seattle, Washington, USA May 7, 2009 Gorgeous, luscious scotch, wood-amber color with lathery tan head. Diacetyl/butterscotch in the nose along with wisps of malt. Diacetyl component is immediately present on the palate, but the butterscotch deepens and twirls into malt bursts, toffee, caramel, and brown sugar. A bursting with flavor treat that is enjoyed in a snifter, but would become cloying in a larger volume. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Apr 24, 2009 Tap at Brouwers. Had this beer while sitting next to bvc. after4ever showed up out of the blue as well. The brouwers guys are also cool. The aroma on this on is sweet, tons of malt, big buttery notes along with chocolate, caramel, toffee, brown bread, and a touch of dark fruit. Pours a hazy dark amber with a thin lasting head. Lots of malt, notes of chocolate, caramel, brown bread, toffee, butter. A tad bit of roast in there as well leads to a long sweet dry finish. After the malt makes its way to the stomach, a large alcoholic burn makes its way out upon exhale. Really boozey. Not bad. The butter I could do with out though.
