Nose is boozy and sweet with some green appley notes, vanilla, and big sweet underlying malty notes. Pours dark brown with a bubbly head. The flavor is sweet initially with vanilla from the oak, toffee, dark fruit, green apple, and sweet boozy notes. Strong, big, a good deal of oak. Nice to see local breweries making wood aged strong ales.
