Commercial Description:
This rich tawny colored ale has an assertive hop flavor derived from a blend of the finest imported and Northwestern whole hops. The taste of a smooth malt background is quickly followed by a distinctive and slightly lingering Cascade hop finish.

Bottle from Safeway, Port Angeles; Nose is grainy, almost pale lagerish; except for a light note of caramel; clear dark gold with a medium straw-tinged white head; flavor is mild hop bitterness, with some malty notes, and a slightly bitter finish.

Slightly foggy gold with a white head. Aroma is pale malt, light hoppiness. Taste is lots of pale malt, light hoppy background. Mediocre.

Pours light amber with a small white head. Smells almost like nothing with the slightest hop smell. Taste is very bland with only the slightest hop taste. Kind of nasty aftertaste.

This pale ale pours a medium orange color from a 22 oz bottle. Large white foamy head, with long lasting lacing. Aroma is citrus, lemon and brown sugar. A medium bodied Pale Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet, touch of brown sugar and caramel, lemony and fruity. Hops are kind of mild, touch of citrus and grapefruit. Kind of a milder Pale Ale. Probably closer to an amber than a pale ale. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Clear golden amber appearance, moderate head formation. Grainy malt, lightly spiced hop aroma. Fairly sweet lemony fruitiness on the palate witha touch of ginger. Mildly dry, and light in body, quick passing bite in the finish.

Bronze-tinged gold color, slightly cloudy, with just a modest head, but quite striking in the sunlight...Aroma is mostly hoppy with some malt essence detected, but fairly light overall...Flavor is dominated by the hop profile, which is adequately supported by the malt foundation, but nothing really distinctive going on here...It has striking similarities in basic character to both the bitter and the IPA turned out by this brewery, but with a bit less "stuff" to carry it...This is quite quaffable, but unremarkable.

Hazy yellow with a slight brown tinge. Interesting hop aroma and malt twinge. An almost average APA.
