| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 16, 2005 This pale ale pours a medium orange color from a 22 oz bottle. Large white foamy head, with long lasting lacing. Aroma is citrus, lemon and brown sugar. A medium bodied Pale Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet, touch of brown sugar and caramel, lemony and fruity. Hops are kind of mild, touch of citrus and grapefruit. Kind of a milder Pale Ale. Probably closer to an amber than a pale ale. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 20, 2003 Bronze-tinged gold color, slightly cloudy, with just a modest head, but quite striking in the sunlight...Aroma is mostly hoppy with some malt essence detected, but fairly light overall...Flavor is dominated by the hop profile, which is adequately supported by the malt foundation, but nothing really distinctive going on here...It has striking similarities in basic character to both the bitter and the IPA turned out by this brewery, but with a bit less "stuff" to carry it...This is quite quaffable, but unremarkable.
