HighWine (163), , California, USA May 23, 2009 On tap at Brouwers Sour Beer Fest during SBW. Amber color with a long lasting off-white head. Great lacing. Smells like grape jelly. Great flavor...everything: Subtly sweet malt, hop bitterness, certal malt, and hops. Good mouthfeel. Not a sour at all but very good. Great with food, too. Paired exceptionally well with a salad with vinageriette dressing. mj (4975), Colorado, USA May 18, 2009 Draft pour @ Brouwer’s Sour Fest 2009. Dark burgundy plum colored body with a soft off-white head. Vegetal, spiced caramel malt in the nose, low acidity. Spiced apples (mellow) and some sweet corn/saccharin up front, thin to medium body, unremarkable in nearly every way. Simple, forgettable.
