On tap at Hops Haven Brew Haus. Clear dark yellow with small white head. Aroma of pine, resin and mild citrus. Taste of pine, spruce, resin, and Amarillo? Hops (the ones I usually smell in some FFF beer). It’s decent but I agree with JPDIPSO that it needs more malt to help balance it out a bit.

Nice IPA, coppery colour, maybe a little more golden actually. lots of hoppyiness, and classic floral aromas on the aroma. the hoppier the better i say, and this one suited me well.

The nose lured me in here, pine and citrus, but the flavors after that were thin and lacking in balance. This one needs a really beefed-up grain bill.

LIghtly hazed dark golden color with a smaller, but thick off-white head. Fresh hop aromas and flavors abound. Mild resin, pine and grapefruit all seem to be present and accounted for. The thing I seem to be missing is the malt. Quite weak in aroma and taste when it comes to the malt. Give me some more malt and I really like this one. Now it more a hopped up ice tea.

On tap at the Hops Haven brewpub in Sheboygan, WI. Pours a clear burnt golden brew with an average white head and good lacing. Aroma of slight pine hops with a touch of caramel malt. Taste is smooth, creamy with a delayed bite aftertaste. Not as strong hoppy as most other IPAs but is a good light version of most other IPAs. If a new beer rater is just starting to rate beers, this would be a good starter.

On tap at Hops Haven. Poured a clear, light-medium golden with a medium cap of white head. Nose was of heavy pine and an unidentifiable sweetness.. thick, but did not draw me in.. a little pear comes through with warmth. Agressive pine bitterness and the same unidentifiable sweetness in the flavor.. bread and cardboardy notes too.. really was not pleasant. There was an ugly disconnect between the uber-sweet middle and the hightly-bitter edges on the palate. Not very good.

Nice amber orange hue, decent sized frothy head with some lacing. Aroma is predominantly NW American hops although there is a hint of grassy/caramel sweetness. Nice bitter flavor although the hops dominate to some extent. Could use a bit more 2 row in the recipe although the example is very drinkable and better than most brew pub IPA’s.

On tap at Hops Haven. Off to a good start with reddish-orange appearance and light head. Aroma of hops dominates. Decent mouth feel. Initial sip is refreshing, but it soon becomes apparent that not a lot is going on here. Decent hops flavor but not much else to recommend this beer.
