Hildigöltur (5052), København Ø, Denmark Jul 1, 2004 [Draught, Porterhouse, London] Very hoppy, bitter and dry. Full flavoured. A great pilsener. badgerben (3070), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Sep 15, 2007 Yellow color with a thin head. The aroma and taste of this make it seem like a pale ale made with Herbsbrucker. Very nice hoppy aroma, but all German/Noble/earthy instead of the citrus blasts of an APA. Good malt base to handle the hop flavor. Tasty. harrisoni (5121), Ashford, Kent, England Aug 7, 2005 Updated: Aug 14, 2006Draught Porterhourse, Covent Garden. Pale gold, good hop nose, bit thin in mouth with carbonation, nice tang of the hops on the finish though. 2.7
I had this on 12/8/06 and thought that it was extremely well hopped. Woody intense bitterness. I know that they were changing barrels so not sure if it was bottom of one or top of the other, but certainly excellent KimJohansen (3171), Copenhagen V, Denmark Jul 22, 2008 Clear golden with medium white creamy head. Sweet fruity aromaen with caramel notes. Sweet and fresh fruity flavor with caramel and delicate hoppy notes. Ends bitter. Dickinsonbeer (2513), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Jul 29, 2006 This was a pretty decent pilsner, although the hersbrucker stood out almost too much. Became very herbal and spicy especially towards the end with a harsh bitterenss. Otherwise a pretty standard well made german pils.
