Apr 1, 2008 I found this idea of a dark lager quite unusual but apparently until 1842 all beers were like this..murky brown colour with very thin head and little aroma. There is a sweetness on the palate possilby dark fruits and a slightly dry finish..interesting

Jan 9, 2008 Tap - Porterhouse Central - Dublin; Dark brown colour, small head, nice caramel-toffee aroma with malt in there also. Quite a sweet flavour - definite toffee flavour, with a dry finish, not a bad brew, could potentially drink quite a few in one sitting.

Feb 2, 2007 On tap at Porterhouse. Looks like apple juice. Sweet, buttery and eggy taste. Tastes a lot like a Pilsener, really.

Mar 1, 2006 Draught: Mildly sweet malts. Amber in colour with a short head. Bit buttery but drinkable.

Feb 5, 2006 Caramelly nose, deep copper brown color, low head. Toffee notes, but some butter in the middle. Crisp end without being bitter. Too much butterscotch, but otherwise an OK brew.
