Soft sweet caramel and a bit of tartness. Has some bottling issues going on. Meh. Dickinsonbeer (3434), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Jun 10, 2009 Bomber at the PPRBSG09. Pours a light hazy coppery orange with a thin head. Aroma is herbal, lemon grass, orange zest, citrus, a touch infection- cheese, with dusty and musty cobwebs and wet dog. Flavor is toasty malts, a bit stale, caramel, with tart lemon rind, citric and light lactic acid tartness, with salt brine, hints of cherry pit kriek astringency and dirt and earth. Kinda messy. beerbill (1917), Laurel, New York, USA Jun 6, 2009 22 oz. bottle sampled at PilsnerPeter’s Spring Gathering. Pours a cloudy antique gold with a white head. Aroma of apple and citrus. There is a bit of a tanginess in the nose as well. The flavor is malt along with a bit of tangy fruit. Heavily (excessively) carbonated. This beer seems off a bit.
