| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 24, 2008 Dark brown. Light head. Fudgey, chocolatey and deep aroma - delicious. Balanced, fudgey character. Gets a bit thin and husky (common issue with this brewery). I like the chocolate note, though. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Cask (handpump) at NERAX North, Haverhill MA, 7 November 2009 @ 5.5%. Very dark. Small head but good condition. Mix of hop and roast malt aroma. Some chocolate. Very hoppy flavour. The Chinooks come through very strongly. Much more strongly than I’d expect in a stout. Bitter (hop bitter that is) mouthfeel. Notwithstanding the rather atypical hop profile, this is tasty and appealing beer.
