Clean bitterness over a light earthy malt base. A touch of citrus, but mostly spicy/herbal hop character in this one. Juicy fruitiness and a bit of tropical fruit as well. Light crackery/bread crust maltiness. Moderate bitterness. Pineapple/grapefruit flavour on the finish. Another nice IPA at this fest. argo0 (6985), Washington DC, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 14, 2007 Pours a hazy, medium amber color with a frothy, off-white head. Settles a dark amber color with a murky appearance. Lots of particles in the body. Solid lacing. Aroma carries a heavy dose of inviting, wet grass hops. Initial taste is lightly bitter, but quickly escalates to a heavy bitter with a smooth finish. Delicious, creamy finish. Medium bodied, it has a slighty dry texture with soft carbonation. Body particles are not very evident on the tongue.

Aroma is flowery hops, and a touch of fruitiness. Mouthfeel is great, almost silky. Nice lacing. Flavor is classic American IPA - flowery with a bit of fruitiness and touch of sweet malt. The bitterness overlays and gives you a little pinch in the finish - I’d say just about the right amount of bitterness for a good IPA. Nice stuff. Enjoyed while talking beer with one of the brewers. jcwattsrugger (5573), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 8, 2006 Good amount of head--a tiny layer of micro-bubbles lasted forever. Really nice grapefruit (and generally citrusy) aroma, a portent of the intensely-hoppy nature of this brew. Crisp hops flavor, balanced by the sweet-yet-bitter grapefruit essence. Nice dry finish. Awesome.
