Pours a clear reddish amber with a thin tan head that recedes immediately and leaves no lacing.
The aroma is interesting for the style and is fairly acidic with vinegar. It’s got some brown sugar in the background as well.
The taste isn’t quite as good and has a metallic sourness that didn’t taste quite right. There’s a bit of sweetness and plenty of fruity esters.
The mouthfeel is very vinous and dry in the finish. Slight tart with the aforementioned metallic twang.
This was an interesting beer but not my favorite. The metallic taste really limits the drinkability. BMan1113VR (2943), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA

Aroma of plums, apricots, estery, peach and lychee. Taste is sour, tannic with a ton of fruit esters, cantaloupe, apricot and dried cranberries. Light bubbles. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 30, 2009 Bottle. Nose-peach, lychee, apricot, plums, “fuzzy fruits”, cantaloupe rind. Very unique and enjoyable nose. Body-dark brown, medium ring of bubbles, medium CO2. Taste-cedar, very light body odor, lots of fruit tastes of the “fuzzy” variety, slight hemp seed oil, watered down melon, the fruitiest Flemish Red that I have ever had. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 29, 2009 750ml bottle. Muted aroma. Brown sugar, vegetables, copper. Rotting cherries, the smallest hint of apple cider vinegar. Really not much to speak (or smell) of. Pours a dark, ruby brown with a quickly dissipating head. No appearance of carbonation. The flavor offer a bit more than the aroma... but not much. Lightly acetic, slightly metallic. Red grape skin, some lactic acid. Really not a whole lot going on. Like a mildly sour brown ale. Medium bodied with fairly lively carbonation. There’s a bit of a lactic component that coats my tongue and is slightly annoying. The finish is one of the highlights of the beer... fairly acidic initially but tapers off quickly. Simple, one dimensional, and completely forgettable. Oh well... thanks Randall! | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 10, 2009 T3. Orange red brown. Did this great thing in the glass where it broke the light into spectrums in the glass. Thick lace/light head: you choose. Smell is bongwater (yes, that was me). Taste is tart and pungent. stefanje (952), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Bottle at Toncatcher’s T3 tasting. Amber pour with a small off-white head. The aroma was distracting with a mix of fruits, vegetables, and herbs--all blended in the kitchen sinks disposal. The taste was much better than the aroma, there was lightly sour grapes and some cherries. The mouthfeel was smooth and malty with lively carbonation. The finish was long and dry with a lingering tartness. Overall: I did not care for the nose but the taste was quite good. Very tasty, but weird. padrefan98 (788), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA

Thanks to stefanje, lagunitasfan, weeheavysd, fordest, wetherel, alohac and of course toncatcher for suppling the house and grub. I liked this sour ale. I was not one of the haters here. I liked the dry tart, and flavorful sourness. WeeHeavySD (3041), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 4, 2009 My second Sour of the day, yippee, 7th rating in San Diego, yep thats me. In Cali, further away than florida, sent to me. Held till now, for the real democracy in Cali, I have held it after the non-legal period of non floridian ratings. Pours reddish with a brown color and a tan ring. Nose is sweet and fruity and oh oh oh oh so funky. Taste is tart and rich and prickly on the tongue and overall drinkable. I don’t know but hell, hell, someone said this tasty like weed, another said it smelled like bong water. I didn’t get either of those, but I liked it a lot a lot more than you’d guess.
