Commercial Description:
Bottle; Filtered.
Post Road Pumpkin Ale is a revival of a beer brewed by the early American colonists. Pumpkins were plentiful, flavorful and nutritious and they blended nicely with barley malt. Hundreds of pumpkins are blended into each batch of Post Road Pumpkin Ale, creating a beer with an orange amber color, warm pumpkin aroma, biscuity malt center and crisp finish. Post Road Pumpkin Ale is spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Amber pour with a significant, white, fizzy head that dissipates into a relatively large ring; lots of lacing down the glass. Aroma of orange, bread, pumpkin and spices (allspice and maybe cloves and nutmeg). Flavor is quite bready and spicy; surprisingly bitter. Full, frothy, non-sticky body. Really, so much better than the Saranac pumpkin beer I just had; almost a pumkin IPA; I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin beers, but this is easily one of the better ones.

Light amber color, small white head. Herbal pumpkin aroma. Herbal cinnamon flavor. Cinnamon dominates aftertaste too, not much pumpkin in the flavor.

Bottle @ the RBESG08 Grand Tasting.
Pours golden yellow with a small, film head. Aroma is sweet, light coriander, some pepper and good deal of pumpkin. Light and thin mouthfeel. Flavour is perfume, pepper, pumpkin and lots of spices. Okay actually.

Transparent golden coloured, small airy white head. Very perfumey pumpkin aroma with herbal and spicy notes. A way too sweet. Like ekstedt said, not my cup of tee.
