Fruity hop aroma. Copper coloured rich on the palate and strong in alcohol with a little dryness in a warming full malt finish. notalush (2676), Denver, Colorado, USA

Poured a hazy brown color with an average fizzy light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt and small hop aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration.
My expectations where met with a solid beer. BBB63 (4238), La Porte, Indiana, USA

The aroma is quite fruity with notes of plum and apricot along with Belgian yeast, caramel, herbal hops, and slight pepper and clove esters. The taste starts with a sharp fruit and spice combo before leading off towards milder malts and a slightly boozy finish. The mouth feel is aggressive and sticky with a slightly dry finish. Overall a nice Belgian Dark Ale, I would try it again. MereLikesBeer (154), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 25, 2009 I had this on tap at MBGSF 09. It was a pretty typical dark Belgian beer. It poured a dark brown color with a foamy off white head. It smelled slightly bready and fruity. Taste was very much like a typical Belgian. It had a medium mouth feel and wasn’t all too memorable. Alright, I would probably order it if I went to Big Rock, but I wouldn’t seek it out.
