Postel Dobbel

22nd February 2008. Smooth brown ale, slightly creamy with a crisp dry malt finish.

Bottle at home ... copper ... big bubbly white head that colapsed to a small loose foam white head ...sweet toffee ...little aniseed ... little medicinal nose ... sweet toffee .. lots of caramlised sugers ...

Poured a dark reddish brown with a creamy brown head. Aroma is caramel, fruits and spices. Flavor is roasted malts and caramel with some fruit. Low bitterness.

Bottle. A clear, amber beer with a dense, finger-thick off-white head. Fresh and dried fruits on the aroma, some cellar and spices and a little fruityness reminiscent of papaya. Dried fruits, some fresh fruits and a little spicyness in the flavor. Spiced, caramel finish. Medium to full, quite effervescent mouthfeel. Far from world class, but a decent dubbel. 090619

Bottle. Brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is fruit, malt. Flavour is sweet, hop, fruit, dried fruits, apple, malt. Nice beer.

Bottle. The strong aroma of malt and chocolate, also some alcohol. The body is dark red to brown, the head is medium large, creamy-foamy and light brown with a normal duration. The taste is light bitter, strong taste of malt and some chocolate. The duration is medium and mild. The body is medium strong , creamy and light dry with a normal carbonation. A nice one.

Clear medium red brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramle, candy sweet and acidc ala "kongen af danmark bolsch". Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20081017]

Bottle at home. Dark fruits and sugary aroma. Nice, warm taste of cherry, caramel, malt, slight cinnamon and candy flavours. Carbonated. Strong finish. Very nice.
