Nice dobbel. At first a lot of citrus in the aroma, later the citrus is gone, and some malt and laqurice appear in the flavor. To thin.

Dark amber color; big, thick, creamy head. Not extraordinary, but undoubtly a good Dubbel, with the usual caramel character, nutty; a quite dry mouthfeel.

Bottled: Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Has a lasting and dense light brown head. Is sweet and malty with some vague caramel notes in the aroma. Malts, light chocolate notes, malt, alcahol and some fruit notes in the flavour. Nice. Ends with a nice alcaholburnt.

Deep brown color, huge tan head that last forever. Cloudy with almost no carbonation. Sweet malty aromas and dark bread. Lots of sweetness and malts in flavor, hints of citrus and butterscotch. A hint of smoke in the finish. A very descent dubbel.

Looking at these scores I feel like a party pooper. I found this beer to be overbearingly mellow with not much going on. The malts are quite fruity - but too mellow.

Interesting, complex brew. Murky, ruby ale with a large, fizzy, khaki-colored head. Great retention, so-so lacework. The nose is killer. So unique. Entire spectrum of fruit... tropical, fuzzy and dark. Rye bread and beef broth. Well-balanced flavor that doesn't quite live up to the promise of the aroma. A whisper of caramel and raisin. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Lengthy, fruity, astringent finish. Thanks to jbrus for the bottle.

Large fizzy light tan head on hazy brown liquid. Nice lacing. Citrus hops complement slightly roasted malt backbone. Hint of black licorice.
