Jan 2, 2009 Bottle at home. Dark fruits and sugary aroma. Nice, warm taste of cherry, caramel, malt, slight cinnamon and candy flavours. Carbonated. Strong finish. Very nice.

Sep 20, 2008 1999 bottle at Kulminator, best before August 2001. Dark brown with a smallish, but perfectly steady, beige, creamy head. Tart fruity raisins aroma, dry dusty cellar character. Chocolate, raisins, cellar and a slight hint of metal towards the finish. Still quite fizzy, but probably lost some body during the years. Very good.

Sep 8, 2008 Bottle from Dranken Geers. Russet, thin beige head. Some Belgian yeast on aroma. Some syrupy dry malt. It’s not a great dubbel, to be honest. Bit too sweet and the malt tastes as though it hasn’t been fully attenuated. Bit of candy sugar. I’m not against it, nor does it taste nasty, but it’s a little basic maybe. Some butter/toffee.

Jul 20, 2008 33 cl bottle, bought in shop in Oostende. Brown color, big beige head. Came out of the bottle by itself when I opened it. Aroma is dark fruit and sweetness. Flavor is soapy fruit, hints of liqorice with a malty aftertaste.
