| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 6, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Amber coloured with a small dense head. Very fresh, sweetish nose - a bit like fruit winegums... With an Abbey Dubbel you expect a sweet, malty, fullness that spreads in your mouth by the first sip - but not here. On the contrary this is slightly watery and rather light in body. The flavours take a little longer to appear, but then you do get some caramel- slightly burned malt. But still more dry than sweet. An unusual but very nice Dubbel. 280897 TBone (6850), Pori, Finland

Ruby red, big brown steady head. Aroma has toffee and oak. Taste is quite similar: dry woody with berry-like sweetness. Mouthfeel is quite thin and carbonated and alcohol is not very present. Some cold coffee and roast in the aftertaste. Solid brew but quite straightforward dubbel.
