Slightly malty aroma nearly unnoticeable. Looks pretty, like coffee with red highlights and a thin, filmy, beige head. Flavor doesn’t deliver much, but the roasted malt and slight alcohol and hops are welcome. Hops add some bitterness to the finish. This is a wet beer that’s almost light and refreshing, despite a beefy appearance. But it’s not what I usually seek in a winter beer.

Bottle: Poured a reddish amber in color with a beige thick fast foaming head (hence messy counter) Sweet fruit and caramel spice aroma. Sweet rich caramel and roasted malt flavor.

Bottle @ Kerstbierfestival 2006 in Essen, BE. Brown color with a average light-brown head. Aroma is pear, licorice, spices (stjerneanis). Flavor is heavy sweet, with a long duration.

Good, but not long-living, yellowish head over brown chestnut beer. Coriander soup, with some oxydized malts notes in the nose. Sweet, with sour-sweetish spicey notes, but generally revolting soupy taste. Slick, fatty, oily, ugh. Beer that had gone for a few years. Seen the result of the reappearance, the necromancer to revive it, must be fully evil.

A big pillowy head you could sleep on with good release of gases. Big fruit and brandyish flavors. plums Blackberries and tart cherries. Very roasted malt bitterness and hints of alcohol.

Reddish mahogany. Nose chocolate, some cherries, deeply fruity, quite plummy. Good flavor, rich and malty, caramel, chocolate, and plums, some sugary goodness. Nice stuff. Thanks Argo0 for handing this one over.

Quite malty aroma, slightly alcoholic. Burned chocolate and muscat. Sour start, sparkling middle, quite carbonated. Malty finish and palate.
