3 years old, corked bottle
Dark amber color; giant creamy head. Malty aroma, barleywine-like, with spices (white pepper) and bitter oranges. Good malt, quite sweet, with a strong liquorice character. A real Christmas beer; ends less sweet (the age…).

Thanks to argo0. Spicy, slightly bitter aroma, some cherry perhaps? Reddish-brown color with plenty of visible carbonation. Nice foamy head that stays around for a while. Nice flavor, some spices, a touch of sweetness. To me, this beer is hurt by the amount of carbonation and the wateriness of the mouthfeel. Happy to drink it, but it's not quite where it could be.

This beer has a brown-red body - hue apperance and a fine white scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the bottle and it had a low carbonic acid. The initial flavor taste is bitter.

Ah, the beauty of a well made “Belgian”, tall dark and handsome setting in the triple glass, WOW what a treat for the eyes, the nose, and oh yes the palate. Deep ruby red on the pour with a bountiful head, frothy in its texture, light tan in color and as it dissipates, it leaves a silky sheet of lace to conceal the glass. The aroma of over ripe plums, sweet malts, caramel, fresh and clean a real treat for the schnozzle. Sweet at the front, top is lean in feel; finish is astringent and the hops delicate in their spicy bite, a real palate pleasing beer.

Poured into a Postel chalice that accompanied the X-mas 4-pack. Big creamy tan head that endures, atop opaque red-brown body. Aroma is rich -- sweet, raisin, some spice/yeast and slight alcohol. Flavor is moderately sweet, raisiny, caramel. Slightly watery palate.

Red-brownish with a small head. Spicy, portery and alcohol aroma. Sweet spicy taste. Fairly lively carbonation.

Deep amber-brown color. Weak and small beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty (caramel and vanilla) with alchool notes. Flavor is malty too but with light spicy tones. Too carbonated but alcohol is less strong than in aroma. Sweet finish. Medium bodied.

Ruby red clear under a smallish medium lasting tan head. Festive aromas including raisins caramel, cinnamon and light yeast and alcohol. Quiet highly carbonated. Body and palate reminiscent of the Postel Triple. Quite highly carbonated with mild festive flavours. Soft sweetish alcoholic finish.
