DeanF (285), Paris, France Oct 2, 2009 Pours nicely into a chalice, head is a little thin but I think that’s picking hairs. it looks appetizing for sure. There isn’t much on the nose, though - just some grassy notes, malts, sweetness. Flavour is a very heavy and syrupy affair without any real complexity to my palate. Lots of malt and alcohol, a slightly dry finish, and that’s about it. I was hoping for more. Allen (1285), Switzerland Sep 8, 2009 Bottled 33cl. It pours an almost clear amber beer with a decent-sized head. Some lacework. A lot of caramel, cinnamon, peach and slight acetone and banana in the nose. Caramel accentuated taste. Sweet with hints of coconut. Very low carbonation. Sweet sticky finish which is reminiscent of coconut and cinnamon and some hops struggling through. Not bad but far from being a good tripel. The hop profile is pretty nice but overpowered by some sticky sweetness. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Aug 3, 2009 33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Clear gold, thick lasting beige. Some peachy estery aroma. Quite interesting and very drinkable. Rather a nice estery strong blond/tripel. Stefano (1322), Esbjerg, Denmark Jun 21, 2009 Yellow hazy amber colour with an thick creamy white head. Aroma is corny and with some faint spices notes. Flavor of spicy yeast and floral hops. Medium body.
Yves (989), Beerse, Belgium May 21, 2009 Clear golden coloured beer with small white head and lots of carbonation. Yeasty fruity aroma. Full palate, bit sparkling. Finish is bitter herby ending a little dry. Grossecaisse (108), France Feb 27, 2009 Une bonne bière belge d’abbaye. Elle est un peu forte à mon gout, mais garde un gout assez prononcé et légèrement sucré. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Jan 10, 2009 Bottle 33cl. @ home. Light light unclear medium yellow orange color with a average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head.
